How Big is The Baby:1.6 inches about the size of a lime

Symptoms:Much are much better this week. Little nausea, some bloating, and mega sore boobies. Im getting closer to the 2nd trimester and things seem to better.
Total Weight Gain: I stepped on my home scale today and am up 2 pounds from 2 weeks ago when i stepped on it. Still not believing that but if it is true im in some trouble at my next doc appointment.
Maternity Clothes: I pulled out all my clothes from my last pregnancy and they are way to big. Still in regular clothes but they are getting tighter on the tummy.
Stretch Marks: No new one yet
Sleep: Its been ok this last week due to major storms that role through our are during the night so I can sleep and not need to toss and turn all night and get up a million times to pee.
Movement: None yet but i have pulled out my little heart finder monitor so hopefully in the next few weeks i can use it. I will proably wait til after my next appt at 13 weeks when i know where my uterus and baby are located.
Food Cravings:Carbs,Chili dogs,Chicken, Carbs
What I Miss:Nothing
What I’m Looking Forward To: My next appt at 13 weeks and all the milestones we still have to cross,Gender,Giving the baby a name, Movement, and everything else.The changes to coem at work that will be better for my family, health and and pregnancy.
Milestones:11 weeks, almost to the 2nd trimester

10 Weeks

Due Date:11/13/2011

How Far Along:10 week

How Big is The Baby:1.2 inches  and weighs about .14ounces and about the size of a prune according to my Baby bump app.

Symptoms:Nausea,Mild Heartburn,Exhaustion

Total Weight Gain: At last ob at 9 weeks i was up 5 pounds from preganancy weight in January

Maternity Clothes: Still in regular clothes but they are getting snug around the tummy

Stretch Marks: No new ones
Sleep: hahaha what is that. I borrowed a boppy pregnacy pillow from a friend to try it out before i buy it and i think it might be too big for me. I keep getting tanglesd up in it and just cant get comfortable.

Movement: None yet.

Food Cravings:Carbs,Burgers,Soda, food in general

What I Miss:Nothing  , ok maybe just a few hours of comfortable sleep but i wouldnt trade it for where i am now

What I’m Looking Forward To: Our next appt and scheduling our early gender sacn at baout 17 weeks

Milestones:getting to 10 weeks and getting closer to the 2nd trimester

Advice for body pillow during pregnancy...

OK ladies.. This thing called sleep is awful far from my life right now and when I am able to get a few hours in its never really good sleep because I'm not comfortable.

I currently have this guy who is pretty flat and lumpy and just not a comfortable cuddle buddy during this pregnancy.

Ive looked into this guy by Snoogle the original pregnancy pillow.

Ive looked at this one also.This is the Boppy pregnancy body pillow.

So i ask my few dear followers and lurkers to give me their opinion on these pillows if you used one during a pregnancy or just every night while sleeping. Word of mouth is the best review on a product. I will probably be going out this weekend and getting one of the above pillows so i can hopefully grab a few hours of comfortable sleep at night. Hope you all are having a great week and enjoying the nice weather that is across most of the country right now.

1st Ob Appointment

We had our 1st offical Ob appointment today. Of course it involved lots of blood and many other optional test we can accept or decline in the next few weeks based off informaton we were given. We had another ultrasound and say the baby and it really looks like a little baby now instead of a little flicker like our last one.

Baby had a heartbeat of 178 per minute and was measuring right on track.

I asked if this pregnancy I would be followed by the perinatologist and Dr. H said not unless my labs come back abnormal or a ultrasound starts to show slow abnormal growth. He said my chances of preterm delivery and preeclampia again are about 50/50 due to my history but that we are going into this pregnancy better controlled and at a lower weight that he thinks we already are better off then we were at this point in my last pregnancy.

Next ultrasoudn will be at 18-20 weeks for gender and anatomy. We will possible go to Stork Vision Frisco,Texas around the 16 week mark for a gender ultrasound like we did with Hope's pregnancy.

9 Weeks

Due Date: November  13, 2011

How Far Along:9 weeks

How Big is The Baby:According to my Baby Bump app baby is the size of a green olive and weighs about .07 ounces

Symptoms:Nuasea,Nausea, and more Nausea, Exhaustion

Total Weight Gain: I am up 5 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weigth in January

Maternity Clothes: I would love to wear them but they dont fit yet. My regular clothes are getting loose now that the bloating is getting better

Stretch Marks: No new ones

Sleep: Not good, Getting up 3 or more times to pee and trying to get comfortable to get back to sleep is hard and long process. I hopeing to get a new body pillow this week

Movement:None yet

Food Cravings:Carbs, Caffeine, Sweets

What I Miss:Nothing buti would enjoy just one night of good sleep right now

What I’m Looking Forward To: Our 1st offical OB appt and ultrasound today

Milestones:Making it to 9 weeks

8 Weeks

How Far Along: 8 weeks

How Big is The Baby: Accoring to my Baby Bump app baby is the size of a Raspberry and weighs about .04 ounces

Total Weight Gain: Not sure because im still not weighing on my home scale

Symptoms: Nausea, Soore boobies, Bloating,Peeing alot

Maternity Clothes:Not yet but  I picked up some shirts and tanks this weekend and also looked for some more capris

Stretch Marks: No new ones yet

Sleep: Decent i have a hard time falling asleep, then waking 3 times to pee is making for a long restless night but I wouldnt change it for anything

Movement: Not yet but i am praying for a posterior placenta this tiem so i can enjoy movement

Food Cravings: Carbs,Soda,Burgers

What I Miss:Nothing

What I’m Looking Forward To: Our 1st prenatal appr and ultrasound next Mon April 11th

Milestones:Making it 8 weeks and 1st belly shot

4/3/11

7 Weeks

How Far Along: 7 weeks

How Big is The Baby: According to my Baby Bump app baby is the size of a blueberry and weighs less than .04 ounces

Total Weight Gain: Still unknown im not weighing on my home scale

Maternity Clothes:None yet and my regular clothes are fitting better

Stretch Marks: No new ones

Sleep: Rough is all i can say. Waking up 2-3 times a night to pee and having a ton of trouble getting back to sleep

Movement: none  yet but i cant wait hoping and praying for a posterior placenta this time

Food Cravings: Carbs,Burgers,Soda,Sweets
What I Miss:Nothing

What I’m Looking Forward To: telling our familes on friday night and our next appt on April 11

Milestones:Makeing it to 7 weeks and keeping it from family for 4 weeks

6 Weeks

Due Date: November 13,2011

How Far Along:6 Weeks

How Big is The Baby: According to my Baby Bump App baby is the size of a small pea and weighs less than .04 ounces

Symptoms:Nausea,Sore Boobies,Bloating,Fatigue

Total Weight Gain: Not sure last week i had lost 3 pounds in 3 weeks so we released  my Lap Band some.

Maternity Clothes: My maternity capris are so comfy but a little big still

Stretch Marks: No new ones

Sleep: Decent despite getting up about 3 times a night to pee and trying to get comfortable to fall back asleep
Movement: None yet but i cant wait

Food Cravings:Carbs, Salads,Caffeine but im avoiding it,White Cheddar Cheetos

What I Miss:Nothing

What I’m Looking Forward To: Our 1st appointment and ultrasound on April 11 and telling our families

Milestones:Making it to 6 weeks and keeping it a secret from our families for 4 weeks

5 Weeks

How Far Along: 5 Weeks

How Big is The Baby: According to my Baby Bump app baby is about  the size of a sesame seed and weighs less than .04 ounces

Symptoms: Nausea,Bloating,Fatigue,Sore Boobies

Total Weight Gain: Unknown but Pre-pregnancy weight was-173 but im already down 3 pounds and its only week 5. Im blameing my weight loss on the nausea and heartburn.

Maternity Clothes: not yet but it sure does feel like it when i wear my regular clothes not my work clothes.

Stretch Marks: No new ones

Sleep: Decent despite getting up about 3 times a night to pee and trying to get comfortable to fall back asleep

Movement: None yet but i cant wait. Hoping and praying for a posterior placenta this pregnancy so I can truly enjoy the movement.

Food Cravings: Carbs and Salads,White Cheddar Cheetos
What I Miss: Nothing

What I’m Looking Forward To: Our 1st appointment on April 11 and the ultrasound

Dropside Crib Vs Non Dropside Crib?

We have a problem.

We have been using the Jenny Lind crib that my mother-in law used for my husband.

Its 26+ years old and in great shape.

It has been through a set of twin boys and then our nephew 6+ yrs ago.

We love the crib and would love to use it again for the next baby.

 Ive recently seen a few articles online regarding the use of a old drop side crib.

I know the goverment has issused a big recall and said for all companies to stop rpoducing them and saleing them.

They sale a Jenny Lind with stationary sides but i dont want to have to invest in the new crib.

I just dont see spending another 200 on a crib when we have a prefectly working crib in our house to use.

I dont want to sound selfish or cheap for the safety of our child.

Our old Jenny Lind has the long metal rod sliding system so unless the wood breaks or we lose on of the screws it seems fine to me.

Our current crib doesnt even come apart for storage it just collapses down into a long flat bed.

We plan on moving Hope to a toddler bed when we become pregnant hopefully soon.

I would love to hear everyones opinion on this topic as we figure out what we will do.

We are trying to prepare now instead of the last minute in case of another premature delivery with the next baby.

We are offically trying....

My most recent cycle started on Wed feb 2, 2011 while I was stuck at work due to a horrible winter storm blowing through North Texas. This cycle started exactly 2 years after my last cycle that resulted in the birth of our daughter Hope Elizabeth. Im proably reading into things to much as im thinking that this means something to us. I started clomid on sun  Feb 6. I will start taking a daily ovulation test on sun feb 13 and if everything works out i will get my positive ovulation test around cycle day 17 or on feb 19. I have a follow up appointment with my ob on friday feb 18 and should know more about what will come in the next cycles if this cycle is a failure which i dont think it will be.

Thanks to all my supportive friends and co-workers as we have started trying to add one more baby to our family. I couldnt stay positive and sane if it werent for you all.

I forgot to post from my phone last week when i typed this up. I found it in my draft folders.

As i sit here alone after a long day i truly and thankful beyond words for my family.

Ive been up since 430 am this morning tuesday Feb 1 2011 and at work since 630 am. Ive now only seen my sweet daughter through pictures and videos over the last 16 hrs. I didnt know it would be this hard to just be away from my little family. Granted im only 4 miles away but the roads are awful and i work at the local hospital. My sweet girl wants to go outside so bad everytime i talk to my mom. Yet she has been sick this last week and just getting better.

The weather here has been awful. We have about 2-4 inches of ice under the dusting of snow that blew through today. Most local schools are closed and most local bussiness have closed.

Im sitting here thinking how will i be able to leave my sweet girl for a weekend 100 miles away with the hubby for Valentines day in 2 short weeks if im this emotional about being a work and just 4 miles away. I know she will be happy and just fine with her nana for those days we are away. My gosh she is 16 months old and very independent but she still needs her momma and dada.

Thats enough of my rambling.

As you may have guessed......

As you all may have gotten from my many facebook hints we are trying to have another baby. We are starting to try for another set of 10 fingers and 10 toes to warm our lives and home. We want to make a Hope a big sister more than anything right now.




Yes we are ready for Hope to be a GREAT big sister.






We REALLY want a little boy




But would LOVE a little girl just as much

We know that 2 children will be at times rough. We are as ready as we will ever be. If we continue to wait will we ever be ready? We know Hope will make a GREAT big sister. She loves to ply with her baby dolls especially her Baby Alive that she can feed and it talks to her when she is done. She loves to push her babies around the house. Yes we are grateful for the one healthy child we have after 3 year of infertility and trying, 1 round of iui, a high risk pregnancy and a premature delivery at 35 weeks. We wouldn't trade a day we have lived the last 5 years for anything but our family just isn't complete with out at least trying for another baby. I understand all my family and friends may not support us but the timing and such are right in our lives for us to try and add another baby to our home. We were hoping my poor broken body was fixed after a pregnancy but we were not so lucky. We haven't been on birth control for 5 months now and still no pregnancy. We will start with a different set of medicine and road before we venture back down the road to Plano and Reproductive Endo and many test and iui's again. We are hoping and praying that the pregnancy with Hope did at least help straighten things out hormonally with my body and all we will need is just a little nudge from the meds to get things going. We understand all of you may not support us but we ask that you do not send negative comments to us or post negative things on our profile/blog, If you choose not to support us we ask that you keep it to yourself and not be negative. We only ask for your prayers if you do not support us and prayers and positive words if you do. We are hoping that this time around is much shorter than last to get us a positive pregnancy test. Christmas 2010

We host the family Christmas breakfast every year. This year my cousins came up from Dallas and my other cousin came over. We enjoyed monkey bread, sausage balls and making memories while opening gifts. Here are a few photos for you to enjoy. Hope got lots of great gifts including the Weebles tree house, a Beauty and the Beast 4-wheeler, a recorded story book from her papa and many clothes from her papa and grandma Linda and  great grams.
